In 21st June, 2008, i have went to Langkawi Island again (year 2007 went once). Both times also sit plane(air asia) because we get the free ticket, just hav to pay the administration fee and tax... around rm 100++ for return (i have forgot the actual amount).
Early in the morning, i and my family have took taxi from house to LCCT, charge rm70. From LCCT to Langkawi Island took around 1 hour. We arrive the Langkawi International Airport and get the car from there (my brother in law have book the car and hotel which bought from MATTA Fair). First thing to do after get the car is pump petrol (because they give us the car with the petrol that just enough to go petrol station.. :P) After that, we go to check in the Langkasuka Hotel at Padang Mat Sirat(http://www.langkasukabeachresortlangkawi.com), the room is number 206 if i no mistaken because i have stay the room for two times (year 2007 also). The room have 2 queen size bed, tv, coffee set..... quite nice. The hotel have swimming pool (not very clean), a private beach (very comfortable when rest at there... i miss it..), several dining place (japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant, Sunset Restaurant, Sunset Bar & Grill.....), car parking.......
The first destination we went was the Telaga tujuh. Telaga tujuh is one of gorgeous waterfall in Langkawi. There are seven waterfalls that flow from one into the other and create seven pools on the face of the hill. We have climb to the top of the waterfall, took around 1 hour to arrive there, over 600 stairs... ooh....so tired.. but the scenery and the clean water is wonderful. the water very clean and cool, nice to put your leg inside the water.. from there, if like adventure, you may climb to the Gunung Mat Chincang, it may take few hour to arrive the the top.
After waterfall, we proceed to the Cable car Station which located in the Oriented Village. Cable car is a "must" visit attraction, for malaysian just charge Rm15 per person (remember bring IC when purchase the ticket). At the middle station, visitors will enjoy panoramic view of the main island as well as the many surrounding islands. After enjoying the beautiful view, visitors will then board back the gondolas, which will take them another 450 meters up to the Top Station. A short walk up the stairs from the Top Station will take visitors to the two viewing platforms at the top of Gunung Machincang, the climax of the trip. Visitors will be amazed at the unfolding dramatic views from the platforms, the many unique and exciting features of Machincang. The design of the curve hanging bridge is amazing, and the sunset scenery was so beautiful (suggest go there when evening time) We go around took more than 1 hour, is quite worth to go there. Come down to the base station already around 7pm(close at 6pm weekday and 7pm weekend/public holiday). After dinner in the restaurant along the road, we decided to buy drink and rest at the hotel private beach. Very comfortable to rest at there, we chatting there, drink, and count the number of aeroplane pass by the sky.... total around 18 for only few hours.. haha..
On the second day, as usual, we go island hopping(Rm250 per boat). the package of Island hopping include Lake of Pregnant Maiden (Tasik Bunting Dayang), Pantai Beras Basah and feed eagle. when walk to Lake of Pregnant Maiden, visitors have advice to caution the monkey attack.
